Defibrillator and Emergency Bleed Kit

Just over ten years ago a defibrillator unit was installed in a green cabinet attached to an external wall of the Reading Room, a location that is accessible 24/7.  A new unit has now been installed together with a new piece of kit – an Emergency Bleed Kit.

Parish Cllr Debbie Jones is currently liaising with local first responders to arrange a first aid training session, the content of which will primarily focus on use of the defibrillator and the hope is shift patterns will allow the volunteers to run a session this autumn.

In the meantime, should you have need of the defibrillator or the emergency bleed kit the first action you need to take is to call 999.  The emergency services will direct you to the cabinet (and provide you the code to unlock it) and will continue to support you until the emergency service arrive on scene.
