Buckland residents whose properties have RH3 postcodes have not been receiving regular postal deliveries since late June as their permanent postal officer was redeployed on their return from annual leave.

Since early July, residents have been routinely reliant on travelling to the Dorking sorting office to collect items during the very limited operating hours i.e. 8am-10am Monday to Friday and 8am – noon on Saturday.

Sadly, the apologetic staff at the delivery office have not been able to provide any reassurance all mail sent to an address has been processed given they can see a backlog of sacks/cages of mail waiting to be sorted.

If you receive an item of mail and have sufficient evidence to make a claim please take the time to do so in the hope claims made will impact performance targets and encourage management at Dorking delivery office to reallocate the permanent member of staff who had worked so hard on their limited part time hours to get to know the Buckland round.
