North Downs Railway – Upcoming closure

The North Downs Railway will be closed between Guildford and Gatwick Airport from Sunday 14th September to Saturday 27th September to allow for signal upgrades and level crossing modernisations. The upgrades will lead to a safer, more reliable service and pave the way for additional services to Gatwick Airport in the future. 

GWR trains will operate between Reading and Guildford, with buses providing services between Guildford and Gatwick Airport (non-stop) and also between Guildford and Redhill (calling at all stations). Replacement buses will call at Dorking Main instead of Dorking Deepdene.

Southern and Thameslink trains running to and from London, Reigate, and Redhill will continue to operate as normal.
