SGN Emergency works : Old Road

The SGN website advises that since the morning of Wednesday 5th November engineers have been carrying out urgent emergency upgrades to the gas network along Old Road near the junction of Dungates Lane.

At the outset, SGN estimated this work will take around two weeks to complete and advised that “For everyone’s safety a road closure will be in place for the duration of the work. Access will be maintained for residents within the works area. Through traffic should follow the signed diversion route.“

SGN has expressed its thanks to residents and road users for their patience and understanding while they carry out this essential work which they say will ensure SGN can continue to provide a safe and reliable supply to Buckland.

Surrey Highways initially granted a road closure licence for seven days (5th – 12th Nov) and has since extended the expiry date of the licence to Friday 21st November 2025.
