Spring 2024 : Update on the Surrey Hills National Landscape Boundary Review

Following an exchange of letters between the Chair of the Surrey Hills Board and Natural England, the work to extend the Surrey Hills National Landscape (formerly referred to as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) has been confirmed as a priority.

Natural England, having restated its commitment to the review, has indicated the report of public consultation, which should confirm the Candidate Areas and whether they will research further areas for extension, will be published in May 2024.
